| Anpetu Waste Miye Kolapi (Good Day my friends), My name is Jon Jordan. I am an alumni of Western Illinois University where I graduated in 1994. I received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I have been presenting Native American culture since childhood as a member of the Boy Scouts in which I received the rank of Eagle Scout. While studying native culture as a youth, I learned that I am of mixed blooded heritage. I combined that knowledge and my ability to teach children and created Spirit of the Eagle Presentations. When I am not presenting to various schools, libraries and scouting organizations I am employed as a substitute teacher in Plainfield, IL. I have been educating others in Native American culture for the past eleven years with Spirit of the Eagle Presentations. All of my presentations are adaptable for any age of student. I have had the privilege of working with students ranging from Pre-K all the way up to adults. I have several wonderful programs available. Life on the Plains offers a glimpse at traditional Lakota culture. Native American Artifacts demonstrates the many different ways buffalo were used by the Plains People. While Myths and Legends teaches lessons in the oral tradition of the First People. New for 2006 is Indoor Life on the Plains which demonstrates year-round availability of tipi lifestyle in your school gymnasium. I look forward to sharing my love of Native American culture with you. Hope you enjoy my site. Pilamaya Yelo, Tanyan Yahi Yelo Thank you, I'm glad you came. Jon |
